The vamp is genuine alligator in a soft matte slate blue, an unusual finish that shows the natural tile pattern without the high gloss most exotics carry. Understated on the foot, which makes the shafts hit even harder.

Each shaft carries a full spread-wing eagle built entirely from hand-cut leather inlay — bone white body, turquoise breast and shield, red feather accents through both wings, navy head and talons, with turquoise stars scattered across the navy field above. Five colors, dozens of individually cut pieces, every one fitted and stitched by hand. Work like this is measured in days, not hours.

Built on a French toe last with a square sole edge — the last shapes the foot with the classic French profile while the sole is trimmed square. It's a construction combination you only get from a custom shop, and it reads cleaner and more modern than a traditional round-soled French toe.
