This is a one-of-a-kind pair, built by hand in El Paso, Texas. The vamp is genuine American alligator hornback, cut from the heaviest section of the hide where the bony scutes stand tallest, in a natural dark brown with pale calcium highlights riding every ridge. The heel counter carries matching hornback with the nuchal shield pattern intact. American gator is the premium hide in the exotic world, and hornback cut is the most dramatic way to wear it.

The shafts are the showpiece. Each one is hand-tooled leather with a King of Spades on one boot and a King of Clubs on the other, framed in full floral scrollwork with a spade and a club set at the top of each shaft. Antiqued gold finish over dark leather, contrasting yellow piping and a yellow stitched collar. This is days of bench work by a craftsman who knew what he was doing, and you will not find a second pair like it.
